With the richest amount of anti-aging nutrients found in any natural facial oil, cacay oil is one of the Amazon's best-kept secrets. Using sustainable wild harvesting, MAMO Botanics brings this "liquid gold" out of the Amazon and onto beauty shelves everywhere — all while giving back to indigenous farmers and supporting conservation.

Founder Story

As a development worker, Corry van Gaal worked with small-scale Colombian farmers to help them find better and safer work alternatives to illicit crops. When Corry and her husband, Luis Meneses, came across the cacay nut and tested its efficacy, they knew they had a business with the potential to deliver great skincare results.

Not only does MAMO bring cacay oil to the world, but it helps achieve social objectives by conserving the Amazon and providing a better and safer life for Colombian farmers and their children.

Green Story

MAMO works with indigenous farmers that wild-harvest tree-based ingredients to conserve the Amazon and their indigenous traditions. 15% of MAMO's profits are invested into biodiversity conservation. MAMO also supports the employment of impoverished communities, particularly women, and reinvests 15% of profits into activities led by Colombian women and youth to promote biodiversity conservation.

On top of that, for every bottle of Oro de Cacay purchased, MAMO plants a cacay tree for a vulnerable family — giving them a reliable source of income for years to come.
